NIGER COUP DETAT
The recent seizure of power by the military junta in Niger is another set-back for democracy in Africa, according to many technocrats. However, the Niger coup is being viewed from a neo-colonialistic stand-point by many citizens of that country. Some diplomats are seemingly weighing it from a position of trying to untangle a precarious balancing of several issues with conflicting, multilateral and confusing indices that are continuously percolating and unfolding,

NEXT STEPS FOR ECOWAS IN NIGER
According to credible sources, ECOWAS Troops are still positioned strategically. Meanwhile, diplomatic maneuvers are still on -going with Niger. Bourkina Faso and Mali have deployed aircrafts to Niger in case of emergency. US is seemingly watching events.POLICY ISSUES: FOR US AND AFRICA
Wagner in Mali - Amid Disinformation
Social media and other sources have indicated that between 2020 and 2921, Wagner Group forces have reportedly deployed to Mali a neighboring regional entity near Niger. Mali is an African country that is undergoing series of political set-backs, which include 2 coup d’états in less than one year as well as continued fight against a growing terrorist threat, which exploited marginalized populations including a history of poor governance. According to sources, Wagner had presented themselves as capable to counter terrorist influence, but disinformation has grown.
ECOWAS - NIGER - US- OTHERS
Citizens in the Sahel and Sub-Saharan Africa cannot but express huge surprises on the global connections and links that the coup has uncovered. From France to Russia, Warner group, ECOWAS and others seem to be connected in one way or the other. However, the huge question is seemingly centered on the current underlying global policy of neo-colonialism from the perspective of the Nigerian citizenship. This issue, which many diplomats are weighing from a position of trying to untangle from a position of precarious balancing of several conflicting, multilateral and confusing indices is continuously percolating and unfolding,

VIEWS: VITAL & EMERGENT QUESTIONS
ABOUT SOME US-AFRICA POLICY ISSUES
African Citizens wonder why the United States despite its powers and with more than 28 military bases puntuated in several areas aound Africa cannot alleviate the menace of banditory and terrorism in the Sahel, the West African Sub-Saharan Region and other parts of Africa.
Many African stakeholders view the policy relationships {trade, policy, quasi) between some corrupt African leadrs, the United States, some European and Asian countries with mesurable apprehension.
Are there new policy innovative engagement mechmisms and trends applicable to the United States power and resources and material engagement witjin the African framework to confront and stymie emergent African challenges such as endemic poverty in the midst of huge natural resourses, food insecurity, dersertification, global warming, internally displaced populations, refugees and migrant problems.
A large number of youths question certain foreign policy innitatives that tend to ignore corrupt practices by African leaders. They wonder why there not visibly meaingfull frank discussions between these African leadership collaborators, US other Asian and Indian business interests in Africa to the seeming detriment of the common man and the African social order.
